When did you first join tumblr and why did you decide to join?

Wow, I joined tumblr a really long time ago.. Probably two and a half years ago. I had another tumblr but I didn't really know how to use the site properly and ended up just re-blogging everyone I followed, I was a terrible blogger! It turned out I had about 5 followers and my tumblr URL didn't work, so that's when I decided to make tainted brunette, I was really driven to put out my own personality, I'm terribly interested in fashion and tumblr is such an amazing way to talk to new people with similar interests and style.

How would you describe your tumblr?

I would describe it as my little mind journal, I've had a love affair with fashion since I was about three years old and it's basically a huge part of who I am, I post images from gorgeous silver screen vintage movies and just basically things that inspire my creativity: Detail shots from the runway, quotes from books, flowers, my own sketches, and photos I've taken of my journal, and lately I've been making lists about what I'm doing 'today', basically it helps me to fulfil things I usually wont do if they're not written down, and I actually have to do them or I feel like I'm cheating out my followers! It's really amazing and unlike social-type sites on the internet it is full of knowledge and I find myself learning new things everyday.

When did you first become interested in fashion?

Since I was three years old my Mother would dress me in these amazing party dresses with matching hats or things she made, usually they had flowers on them and sometimes they were daisy chains from the garden, my Mum was gorgeous and stylish and I think I wanted to be just like her. I was a pretty cultured child and I loved visiting museums and reading and one day I decided I wanted to people in draw clothes like the ones that were in the museum, the ones that my grandmother and my Mum wore; gloves pulled up to her elbows, long elegant dresses, dark red nail polish and lipstick and even the long thigh high socks that they put me in (very Alexander Wang Ready-to -wear 2010) and basically I drew and drew and read and read fashion, I lived an breathed it, and several years ago I found Style.com and thats when I discovered I wanted to be a fashion designer.

Who are you favourite designers at the moment?

Riccardo Tisci for Givenchy, Lazaro and Jack for Proenza Schouler, Valentino, Christian Lacroix, John Galliano, Alber Elbaz for Lanvin, Marchesa, the Rodarte sisters and there are so many more but I adore these guys. 

Who is your favourite model at the moment?

Vlada Roslyakova, she's so versatile and gorgeous and intriguing, I especially love her darker editorial shots, like Pierluigi Maco's renaissance re-indition for Vogue China. Vlada looks crazily like a painting from that era and every time I look at that editorial I just stare. 

If you could sum up your tumblr in just a few words what would they be?

Vintage, ethereal, dark, saddening, broken. 

How many followers do you now have?

A small army of broken ghostly souls. 

When you aren’t tumbling what do you do with yourself?

I read a lot, go for long, slow walks, take hot baths, sketch models and write in my journal, text my boyfriend and day dream, I'm always day dreaming. 

What are your plans for the future?

My plans are to move in with my boyfriend, get a bachelor's degree in a fashion design course, finish year 12 in high school and buy a rabbit, then hopefully I'll build a collection of vintage clothing from the lost eras of women who wore amazing clothing and make my father proud of me. I'll tell the world what I want them to hear and make beautiful things, then maybe one day I'll make such beautiful musings that I'll take my children to make little ships in bottles and set some free into an endless ocean.

My bestfriend and i shared a blogspot and then got in a huge fight and now arent friends so i started my own blog

I would describe my tumblr as straight foward fashion 

When did you first become interested in fashion?

My mom worked in the Neiman Marcus shoe department before i was even born, so when i was being breastfeed in the stock room, i was staring at Chanel heels.

Alexander Wang, Celine, and Marni

Freja Beha/Lindsey Wixson

I go to school and horseback ride

When did you first join tumblr? 

About five months ago

Why did you decide to join tumblr? 

I wanted to create a blog, because fashion journalism etc. is what I want to get into when I leave school, and a few magazine editors told me to start a blog. Although it isn't like a fashion reporter blog as such, it's based on fashion. 

How would you describe your tumblr? 

Pretty much a compilement of all images that inspire me in my day to day life. Pretty things, interesting things... amazing clothes, pretty girls etc.

When did you first become interested in fashion? 

Oh, as early as I can remember. My life basically revolves around it, as anyone that knows me knows very well.

Who are you favourite designers at the moment? 

New Zealand designers are doing soo good at the moment, and it's good that I don't have to look overseas as New Zealanders used to. Ruby Boutique is probably my ultimate favourite. Pastels, pretty, delicate fabrics and just classic stuff. Seriosuly, check them out. Stolen Girlfriends Club, Lonely Hearts, Twenty-seven Names, Karen Walker (her jewellery is to DIE for) and so so many more. I also love One Teaspoon. Always a favourite.

Who is your favourite model at the moment? 

Season 2 of New Zealand's Next Top Model just finished, and the winner, Danielle is SO stunning. I also think that the Kings of Leon lead singer's girlfriend is gorgeous, Lily Aldridge.

If you could sum up your tumblr in just a few words what would they be? 

Inspiring, fashionable, pretty. 

How many followers do you now have?

When you aren’t tumbling what do you do with yourself? 

Sew, paint, read and draw. I love being creative.

What are your plans for the future? 

I want to move to Syndey. But first get a Bachelor of Arts, and a Journalism degree. Fashion editor ultimately.

My sister (greta) said she thought i should make one, cos she thought i'd be good at it!

I think it's just a collection of photos that I like, aaand alot of them are outfits i like and things like that(:

When did you first become interested in fashion? 

When i was about 12 and my sister was 15 she started getting really into it, and she had such gorgeous clothes that i just got really into it, and started taking a bigger interest in shops that sold nicer clothes, and making more of an effort with what i woreee etc

Well, being my age in NZ i don't really wear high fashion stuff, but i'm really into stolen girlfriends club (theres a sale tomorrow! so excitedddd) mink pink, topshop, lonely hearts, and i lovee op shopss!

Who is your favourite model at the moment? 

Lily Donaldson, she's stunningg! or tallulah morton!

I started a year ago, in October

Why did you decide to join tumblr?

I kind of always wanted a blog, and I had tried to make one with other sites but it never seemed to work right or last long, and well I gave tumblr a shot and I couldn't stop coming back.

How would you describe your tumblr?

I don't post with an objective in mind, I post what I love and I try to have the best image quality I can, it doesn't go very far from fashion because im completely obsessed with it and nothing else interests me more then clothes and models,I also see my tumblr as a learning experience for me, since im looking for things to post and I find out more about fashion and I can share that with people, makes fashion more worth it for me.

When did you first become interested in fashion?

Until tumblr I never gave it much tought, but troughout my life I had bits of interest in fashion, when I was in the fourth grade me and my friends spent our afternoon drawing and It was always clothes, that was also the time I wanted to be a fashion designer and I saw my first fashion show, I was basicly in awe and I tought to myself that that was my life.Tough I am not sure I am going to work in fashion anymore, and im pretty sure I will never be a fashion designer.

Who are you favourite designers at the moment?

Im obsessed with Dolce&Gabbana, their last show took me by storm.I also love the style of Moschino, Francesco Scognamiglio, Yves Saint Laurent.

Who is your favourite model at the moment?

Jac is my favorite!And I have been in love with Alex Dunstan for the past 6 months.Besides them I like Valerija Kelava,Ann & Kirby Kenny, Andrej Pejic,Dewi Driegen,Jessica Miller.

How many followers do you now have?

I have about 1400.

When you aren’t tumbling what do you do with yourself?

I study, Shop, Read, lead a normal life I guess.

What are your plans for the future?

I don't really have any.

When did you first join tumblr? 

My first post was on the 12th september 2010!

Why did you decide to join tumblr? 

I was checking out tumblr blogs long before i decided to join up and they hold such inspiration, its a place where you can have an outlet for your creativity and connect with people who have similar interests to you.

How would you describe your tumblr? 

it defiantly has a focus on fashion, although it also shows 

When did you first become interested in fashion? 

I honestly couldnt tell you an exact date or even age, i have always loved fashion me and my cousin who is a year older would always go to vintage shops just looking for things we could alter to add our own twist to since about 13years old. I had my first job in a clothes store when i was 15 so that was probably when i was really able to get into fashion and be surrounded by it in all of its beauty.

Who are you favourite designers at the moment? 

I really adore the fabulous Alexander Wang and Givenchy have really out done themselves this year. As for in Australia i got to work with Alex Perry today and his's dresses are absolutely gorgeous!

Who is your favourite model at the moment? 

I actually love the Australian models who have just started hitting the scene and are amazing especially Bambi and Abbey Lee & so many more.
If you could sum up your tumblr in just a few words what would they be? 

fashionable & inspirational.

When you aren’t tumbling what do you do with yourself? 

I have just finished high school so am taking some time to relax and have some fun. I currently work at General Pants Co and am also am doing work experience within a celebrity, talent and model management company!

What are your plans for the future? 

i plan to work within the film industry either in front or behind the camera, although the whole media/ entertainment industry interests me.
