Designer, Gillian Tennant, is only a new discovery of mine.  I just recently found her online store & website and have fallen in love with her spring/summer collection.  

I love the use of such beautiful, natural fabrics such as silks, cottons and linens.

I am also a big fan of the style of the clothing.  The loose fitting silhouettes and the comfortable shapes of the garments, such as the small tucks in the linen skirts and the box-shape of some of the tops.

Most of all, however, i love the pastel colours of her collections.  The whites, pale pinks, creams, pale blues and pale orange colours although create a very washed out collection are so beautiful when worn together, they create a whimsical look.  I also love how she has incorporated only one accessory in the collection, a dark navy scarf which when worn with the pastels of the other garments adds some depth and interest into the outfits.

I think that this collection is a great one for summer and also for mixing and matching with some accessories of your own which are darker colours.  Even some dark coloured clogs or boots would look amazing with these pieces.
